Emma Plotkin is a theater-maker and social activist. She collaborates with artists and community members to develop stories that express the wholeness of people developing new work and new connections to older material. She is passionate about interdisciplinary physical theater, devising, documentary, site specific and immersive art.

Emma is a 2017 Future of Arts and Culture Fellow with the Ford Foundation and the Creative Culture Institute, and a participant at the Watermill Center with Robert Wilson. She has trained with the National Theater at the Eugene O'Neill and the Siti Company with Anne Bogart. Her work has been featured at the Hangar Theater, Dorset Theater Festival, Hubbard Hall and the National Theater Institute. BA Bennington College.
