Teaching and Tutoring

Emma Plotkin is a professional Voice, dance and theatre teacher. She graduated from Bennington College, a top-ranked BA drama program in the United States. She currently teaches voice at Emma Plotkin Voice Studio and movement with Pilot Light Studio. For more information on voice please click here

 

Emma’s focus is to help all performers feel comfortable and prepared when auditioning, building a character, movement work and connecting their voice to their body. She also works in new play development and enjoys teaching directing, devising, voice and choreography classes. 

 

Emma has worked with internationally acclaimed directors, including two-time drama desk award winner Robert Wilson,  Ann Bogart, who adapted Viewpoints for theatre, and founded SITI Company; MacArthur Genius Award and Dance Exchange Founder Liz Lerman;  Kristian Hanngi broadway director known for Rock of Ages and Zai Alikhan, resident director of Hamilton.
