This whimsical and surreal concert was created by director Robert Wilson. With swelling, rasping, idiosyncratic music, the piece was designed with colorful shapes and a focus on negative space. The performer’s bodies moved in jagged lines while they traveled in elegant floor patterns. This simple, clear, yet violent movement paired with themes of gender, loneliness and youth are seen in new light. I sang counterpoint and performed with CocoRosie.
